If you’ve already explored Malta by land, get out on the water on this cruise and soak up the scenery of the island’s north coast and around the neighboring island of Comino. Go to the famed Blue Lagoon to snorkel and swim in the clear water; admire the cliffs, enter the Ahrax and Santa Maria caves, and swim in the crystal-clear waters of Comino, or simply soak up the sun on the boat’s sun deck.

Depending on the weather and other conditions, we will adjust the experience accordingly.

  • Save money: An inexpensive day out on the water
  • Soak up the sun from the boat's upper deck
  • Take in the views of Malta and Comino from the water

Departing from Bugibba (10:00 A.M)
Join us on this unforgettable day tour departing from Bugibba. With captain Kevin and his crew we want to show you the beauty of this gorgeous little island. Setting off at 10am we start with some religious history, we pass by the island of St.Pauls who was shipwrecked here, in his memory a statue of him is now situated in the middle of this tiny island.
Passing by Mellieha
We will pass by the largest beach in Malta Mellieha bay and continue to enter into the Ahrax cave stopping here for some great photographic shots. Just before crossing the Comino South Channel we cruise by the famous touristic site of Coral Cove.
Passing by Comino
As we pass Ahrax point we get a clear visual of the island of Comino. The smallest of the three islands only 1.4 square miles. We shall cruise 360 degrees around Comino witnessing high cliff edges, with magical rock formations such as the 'Elephants Head'.
Stopping at Blue Lagoon
The moment you have all been waiting for, what a lot of travelers' have called, Paradise on Earth, we arrive at the gorgeous Blue Lagoon. Without any prior stops we try to be the first cruise boat here so that you can get the best out of it. Take advantage from our great mooring position and spend your time on the boat. Away from the crowded beach you can jump, swim and slide into the crystalline turquoise water. Make use of the upper sun deck or chill out on our spacious shaded main deck. If you're hungry grab something from our onboard cafeteria prices are very reasonable. We have reduced our onboard capacity by 50% to allow for social distancing. We might not have the most modern boat but we have all the amenities you need for a day at sea. Use the boat as your base as you walk freely on/ off to the island of Comino. Come back if you need to make use of the bar/ cafeteria, washrooms or other onboard facilities. With over 4 hours here you will have the time of your life. Duration: 4 hours 30 minutes
Passing by Crystal Lagoon
Cruising the South channel of Comino we enter into the Crystal Lagoon more popular with divers given its deeper waters. This bay is also accessible by foot from the Blue Lagoon where we will be moored for 4.5 hours. A short 8 minute walk will get you here where you can spend as much time as you like snorkeling, swimming or for the more adventurous cliff jumping. This site may be seen on the way going to Comino or later on the way back to Malta, depending on weather conditions
Passing by Santa Marija Tower
Built in 1618 to help defend the island of Comino we pass by one of the few buildings on the island of Comino, the Santa Maria Tower. Also popular for its role as jail Chateau D'If in the film the Count of Monte Kristo this is another picturesque site.
Arriving back to Bugibba

Very Good

Perfect, amazing would highly recommend beautiful. I would do it over again

Highlight of the holiday, would recommend. Make sure to bring cash to pay for excursions!

Had a great time with the hornblower. Despite starting out in a bit of a swell captain explained everything and as soon we turned into the cove everything cleared. Boat was clean, staff great ,the prices on board cheaper than on shore. And lots of info on the area was given.

Don't hesitate to go there with your family.

Good boat tour, with plenty of time to relax too.

So I summarize in a single sentence a tourist trap my opinion is not based on the boat which according to me is only a means of transport which takes you to the so-called crystal water and the famous blue lagoon... namely actually the rock the blue water is there but that's all you land in a huge rock with a tiny beach with more than 1000 thousand people so bathe as if it were in the most beautiful corner of paradise Personally I didn't like it all we then have the most beautiful beaches in Europe with real warm sand I point out that we left enamels less than May so not yet the big crowd I don't dare imagine how it would be at this time a real hell I advise against

Had an incredible time touring the islands and caves! Captain Kevin is knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining the whole way through (with an upbeat playlist). There's an option to visit Gozo too but personally, I would suggest spending the 3-4 hours in Comino instead and enjoy the beach and caves there. Such a good way to visit Comino Island - highly recommend!

The truth is that the best thing is the small excursion to the caves, the guide is fantastic, very fun. Then talking about the main excursion, the boat is not bad, the workers are friendly, the captain spoke English very quickly and with an accent I don't know if it was Italian, but there were things that were not completely understood. The blue lagoon is truly impressive, I recommend going with accessories for snorkeling, there are many fish and they are all beautiful. Very blue, beautiful, and very salty waters. The island of cumin itself doesn't have much else. You cannot bring food or drinks from outside on the boat and it is somewhat expensive. The activity itself is good, but it is somewhat expensive for what it is.

It was amazing from start to finish. The water is unreal and a must for your holiday. Great staff. Everything you need is on board and at very reasonable prices

The whole experience was amazing!!! It was such a lovely and pleasant day, it was my husband, my 4 year old daughter and me. This is a all age adventure. During the ride the awesome tour guide would explain us the places and history, they spoke 4+ languages and were really helpful and friendly. There was an onboard café, with lots of drinks and food options. Super recommend!

The overall experience was very good, very friendly staff and a very nice area. Lots of air, we didn't think it would be so cold.

Johnny, our tour guide, was amazing! He was so informative and added a really personal and local touch the sites. A very friendly man - and a very safe driver. We couldn’t recommend him more. It really was the highlight of the trip. Our only gripe with the trip was not the tour itself but the collection from the hotel. We were outside at the time advised but the driver was not there half an hour later. We called the company and they got a driver sent to us immediately but it was a bit of a frustrating start. Luckily we had such a wonderful tour that we would still absolutely recommend this! So worth the money.

Literally the highlight of my holiday! An absolute must! The blue lagoon is absolutely picturesque! The team were so friendly and happy, the information about the caves and island were great. So much fun I would HIGHLY recommend x

Me and my dad had an incredible day! The crew were amazing and the drinks were also awesome. We went on the boat tour in a really windy day which made impossible to go to the caves but they did everything they could to show us everything as close as possible! 100% recommend this activity. I will for sure come back and repeat it!

Great experience and the crew. Fantastic cocktails and reasonable prices. Thanks

The staff is lovely, bar at the boat has reasonable prices, the Hornblower captain tells you what is in front of you and what should get your attention. The views are lovely. If you want to sit at the upper deck better to be there 1 hour before departure, because a lot of people are prioritizing these seats. Overall, we spent a lovely day with Hornblower crew and amazing experiences!

Excellently organised(although we had to wait for a bus back from Victoria in Gozo, but wasn't a problem) I hadn't realised when I'd booked it was just for Comino island for a 4hour stop, but when we arrived, they offered an on going trip up to Gozo for 3 hours at no extra cost that we switched to and glad we did as there isn't much to do on Comino island, but there were lizards to see and little birds that soared like a kite... so if you want the just unwind,Comino really offers that, but I think 4 hrs may be a little long The Hornblower boat drops people in Gozo & returns to Comino which is a great plan as they're well kitted out with fairly priced food (5€ for a hotdog,5.5€ for a cheese burger) and drink (pint of Cisk for 4€, 6€ for a cup of cocktail or 10€ for cocktail filled pineapple...) for those staying on Comino. The Hornblower also has a water slide from the top deck if you want to go for a swim while they're docked at Comino There's no beach at Comino, but water is beautiful.

We enjoyed the trip so much, Kevin the Captain was very friendly and his music playlist is fab. We arrived at the blue lagoon and were able to relax and swim and spend 4hrs on the island. we did not take the extra trip to Gozo. Highly recommend paying the extra €15 for the speedboat experience to the caves great fun. #Hornblowers cruises 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
